The Health Science and Nursing Research Journal (HSNRJ) maintains a governance structure designed to protect editorial independence, scientific integrity, transparency, accountability, and continuity of scholarly publication.

Publisher

HSNRJ is published by Global Husada Berkualitas, Indonesia.

The publisher is responsible for supporting appropriate publication infrastructure, journal sustainability, digital accessibility, administrative resources, and long-term development.

The publisher does not determine the acceptance or rejection of individual manuscripts.

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief holds primary responsibility for the scientific and editorial direction of HSNRJ.

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for:

• maintaining the journal's scientific standards;
• safeguarding editorial independence;
• ensuring that published content remains consistent with the journal's aims and scope;
• overseeing peer-review quality;
• supervising editorial decisions;
• managing significant conflicts of interest;
• addressing research-integrity concerns;
• overseeing corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern;
• contributing to the appointment and evaluation of editors; and
• supporting the strategic academic development of the journal.

Associate Editors

Associate Editors support the Editor-in-Chief in managing manuscripts within their areas of expertise.

Their responsibilities may include initial manuscript assessment, reviewer selection, evaluation of peer-review reports, communication of revision requirements, and editorial recommendations or decisions within delegated authority.

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board provides scholarly expertise and strategic academic support to HSNRJ.

Members may contribute to:

• development of the journal's scientific direction;
• identification of emerging research priorities;
• peer review and reviewer recommendations;
• evaluation of editorial policies;
• strengthening international scholarly engagement; and
• maintaining standards of research and publication integrity.

Editorial Board membership does not provide preferential publication opportunities.

Managing Editor

The Managing Editor coordinates administrative aspects of manuscript processing and communication between authors, reviewers, editors, and the production team.

The Managing Editor supports, but does not override, academic editorial decisions.

Editorial Office

The Editorial Office manages administrative and technical publication activities, which may include:

• submission administration;
• manuscript-file management;
• correspondence;
• copyediting coordination;
• metadata verification;
• layout and production;
• DOI and publication-data administration; and
• website and publishing-platform support.

Editorial Decision-Making

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, methodological quality, ethical integrity, relevance to HSNRJ, peer-review evidence, and applicable journal policies.

Financial considerations, advertising, sponsorship, institutional relationships, personal relationships, or publisher interests must not determine whether an individual manuscript is accepted or rejected.

Conflicts of Interest

Editors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where their impartiality could reasonably be questioned.

Manuscripts submitted by editors, Editorial Board members, publisher-affiliated individuals, or collaborating institutions must be handled independently and undergo the same editorial and peer-review standards applied to other submissions.

Accountability

All individuals involved in journal governance are expected to comply with HSNRJ policies concerning confidentiality, conflicts of interest, research integrity, publication ethics, peer review, corrections, retractions, and complaints.

The governance structure should be periodically reviewed to ensure that editorial roles remain active, appropriate, and consistent with the journal's scientific development.
